CLOUDWATER Ltd is a Research & Development startup company focusing on low-cost GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receiver Development established in 2021 at Nicosia, the capital city of Cyprus.
CLOUDWATER also conducts high-level research on GNSS receiver’s software and hardware development, as well as on GNSS Meteorology, Geodesy and Positioning, Atmospheric Remote Sensing and Weather Prediction.
The company designs and develops an innovative, customized low-cost GNSS receiver unit, particularly for the estimation of Precipitable Water Vapour (PWV) in Earth’s atmosphere. Our PREcipitable WAter vapour Monitor, PREWAM, is a unique product based on the novel concept of low-cost near-real time monitoring of PWV over an area, by exploiting all available GNSS systems (GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS and BeiDou).
Frederick University is an energetic and vibrant private university operating in the Republic of Cyprus. Besides the self-funded creative and other projects, the University staff has implemented or currently running more than two hundred R&D and consulting projects, the majority of which coordinated by FU faculty and researchers.
