Assoc. Prof. Haris Haralambous

Dr. Haris Haralambous is an Associate Professor at Frederick University Cyprus and a Senior Researcher at Frederick Research Center where he leads the Cyprus Ionospheric Research Group*. His research interests involve Atmospheric and Space Weather effects on radio systems and atmospheric remote sensing. He has coordinated and participated in a significant number of national and European projects** including BeRTISS (BalkanMed real time severe weather service) which is highly relevant to the focus of CLOUDWATER and was a member of various COST actions relevant to the development of services and products on ionospheric and tropospheric specification including action ES1206 “Advanced Global Navigation Satellite Systems tropospheric products for monitoring severe weather events and climate”. He has published more than 80 papers in peer reviewed journals and international conferences proceedings.
