Ion-Anastasios Karolos, MSc, PhD

Mr. Ion-Anastasios Karolos holds a diploma in Rural and Surveying Engineering (2012) and a Postgraduate Degree of Specialization in Geoinformatics (2015). He also received his PhD diploma from the School of Rural and Surveying Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2023). At present, he is the principal hardware engineer in CLOUDWATER. His research interest mainly focuses on hardware and software development of high precision GNSS receivers using technologies like PCB designing, 3D printing and smartphone applications. He is also a researcher at the EU Horizon 2020 project SustAGE for outdoor and indoor positioning development services funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020. He has high programming experience using a variety of programming languages and software development kits.
